SERVICE LEARNING

Below is an example of a service learning project I conducted for Veterans Day 2020. My students collected and donated items to send to the army reserve. They also wrote thank you letters, and created a handprint American flag to show soldiers and veterans how thankful we are for their bravery. 

I like to complete one to two service learning projects per year. I will update this page with the current service learning project I am working on.

Currently nursing homes in the Johnstown area are looking for donations of colored pictures from children in the area to help brighten up their rooms. The program is called Smiles for Seniors.
